April 29

I'm a sucker for cute prints...but I really did need a microfiber, super absorbent kitchen towel ;)

April 30

This month began and ended at the beach.  It was a rough month with sick dogs, a flat tire, a broken toe, income taxes, increased rent and the usual craziness at work.  Still, I am blessed to have a supportive family, great friends and a job doing what I love.  I'm thankful that a new month begins tomorrow!

April 23

Nothing says spring like some colorful flowers:

April 24

I entertained myself with these books at Big 5 while Joe browsed around.  It's fun to hear about other women's experiences with golf...and yes, I do feel naked on the first tee!  I get so self-conscious when other people watch me tee off on the first hole :(

April 25

It was nice to catch up with a girlfriend over some sushi today.  She ordered some spicy shrimp tempura rolls to go for her husband.  They looked pretty tasty:

April 26

Sweet and spicy, and sooo gooood!

April 27

I'm glad to see that antibiotics have been helping Mike and Roxy (finally) get over their kennel cough.  It's been tough having to give them medicine on busy mornings and tiresome nights, but I can't wait for them to get back to normal.

April 28

I got to do glass etching for the first time at a workshop today.  I'm hoping that the finished project will serve as a reminder to save as much as possible so that I can get the keys to my first condo later this year!

April 19

My first graders and I had fun learning about story structure this week.  We got to read lots of stories, including:

April 20

I tried these for the first time today, thinking back to when Flaming Hot Doritos were one of my favorites.  These were pretty good.  Luckily, they're too hot to be able to eat a whole bag in one sitting!

April 21

Joe and I worked together to make this strawberry pie:

Cooking with Joe can be pretty sweet (:

April 22

I planted some seeds in celebration of Earth Day.  Can't wait to see some more herbs sprout up!

April 16

This cheery owl is brightening up my desk at work.  Thanks, Debee!

April 17

Balancing work with pleasure :)

April 18

It takes a lot for me to have a good hair day.  The weather has to be just right, as does the amount of wind and humidity.  Most days my hair has a mind of it's own, so it's nice when it cooperates!

April 11

Two themes left means that the school year is almost over. . .and that summer vacation is almost here!!!!

April 12

Peach fuzz!!!

April 13

Today was cold, windy, rainy and somehow still a pretty cozy day. . .

April 14

My best friend and I met with a travel agent to discuss our travel plans to Seattle/Victoria this summer.  Fun times and a new adventure are coming up!!!

April 15

A change of plans meant I got to check out a local (small) art show:

April 6

Reflections on Good Friday:

April 7

A Cost Plus World Market find. . . Refreshing :)

April 8

Easter dress:

April 9

I decided that the only way I'll eat more fruits/veggies is if I drink them!
Bonus: Mike and Roxy loved the pulp from the apples/pears that I used to make my first drink.

April 10

A typical date/work night includes dinner, work, break, coffee shop and more work.  Tonight it was   a tasty panini and soup combo from Corner Bakery, a trip to Best Buy to check out some electronics and some tea/coffee at the Coffee Bean.  Love date/work nights!

April 1

Love, love, love to snorkel!

April 2

My view from the airplane on my way home to San Diego:

Hiking Diamond Head Crater is on my to-do list for my next visit!

April 3

The doggies and I are back at our home, sweet home :)

April 4

Went to the driving range despite having stubbed my toe...

April 5

Woke up with a swollen, painful toe and decided to head to urgent care.  X-rays confirmed that I had broken my toe :(

March 23

After a long and turbulent flight, it was great to be on land in Oahu with my sister, brother-in-law and nephews.  I enjoyed a late afternoon/early evening walk with my family...the mosquitoes, not so much. :)

March 24

There's nothing like a pool/beach day to start off vacation mode!

March 25

We went to Sharks Cove in the North Shore to snorkel.  The water was pretty rough and there were lots of people getting scraped up and slammed into rocks, so we decided to check out the tide pools instead.

March 26

I joined my sister and nephews on a hike to see the Makapu'u lighthouse.  It turns out that pushing a double-stroller with a 4+ yr. old and a 1+ yr. old while hiking is quite a workout!

March 27

I played with clay dough along with my nephews at their playgroup today.
So fun and strangely relaxing!!

March 28

It's always such a nice day when you snorkel at the Ko Olina lagoons:

March 29

My nephew and I took a bus tour of Kualoa Ranch and were treated with gorgeous views of a stunning landscape.  It's not hard to see why it's a popular place for filming movie and television scenes.

March 30

We attended a memorial for 6 fallen soldiers, one of whom my sister and her family personally knew.  God bless our troops and their families...

March 31

We had a really nice time walking through Waimea Valley.  My nephew and I also had a refreshing swim at Waimea Falls.  Being outdoors here is incredible!

Just another beautiful day in paradise
